What is Seedance 2.5?
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's long form video model, launched in July 2026. It generates up to 30 seconds of video with native audio in a single pass, and accepts up to 30 reference images, 10 reference videos and 10 audio inputs per request.
How is Seedance 2.5 different from Seedance 2.0?
The clip ceiling doubles from 15 to 30 seconds, and the reference budget goes from 9 images to 30, with 10 clips and 10 audio tracks. Both generate sound. The trade is resolution: 2.0 reaches 4K, 2.5 stops at 1080p.
Does Seedance 2.5 do 1080p or 4K?
1080p, yes. 4K, no: use Seedance 2.0 for that. The economical habit is to draft at 480p and finish only the take you keep in 1080p.
How much does Seedance 2.5 cost?
From 184 credits per 5 seconds at 480p, 403 at 720p and 970 at 1080p, scaling with length. A full 30 second take costs six times the five second rate, and the exact figure is shown before you generate.
Can it keep the same character across a whole clip?
